What music are you listening to?

I've just discover this caption. Young Genesis at the Bataclan in 1973. Caption remastered. Waiting for a good video for Selling England by the Pound. Luckily, I saw The Lamb.

Two legends together

In an other hand, a great musician and artist unfortunately not well known enough, mister Frank Zappa (sorry don'find good videos).

And the same with young Steven Vai

This one represents Joni Mitchel at her peak. Her first albums simply feature her playing guitar mostly by herself. It is because she couldn't find musicians that could play her music the way she wanted. A drummer told her she needs to play with jazz musicians which she did. Then she found Jaco Pastorius and the rest is history:

she couldn't find musicians that could play her music the way she wanted.
Didn't she also make up her own guitar fingerings, much to the continued annoyance of her fellow players?

Phooey, George, phooey!

Speaking as a Genesis fan, Peter Gabriel is one of the worst singers I've ever heard in my life.

*The Lamb* is a wonderful album, but it has to exist in a special place, beyond reproach.

She used different fingerings that followed a folk method to some extent. She used different keys too.

BTW, Steve Vai started with Zappa by putting his (Zappa) music into music sheets. Steve Vai was also Satriani's student and they're on tour now, which unfortunately I won't be seeing. Two of my favorite guitarists actually.

Here's something that I bet is new for most:

PS: You really should take the time to WATCH this to admire the technique.
