The table is not the problem. You are not setup and updated correctly.

Follow the install instructions included with the table and be sure you are updated with the latest BAM, patched for 4GB, using the correct FP video and Editor settings, and are running from FPLoader.exe. If still having problems, read the FAQ at the end of the Install Instructions.

Sonic Pinball Mania (PinEvent V2, FizX, Future Pinball - BAM)

1.5 update (Spin Dash and Magna-Spinner) - Coming very soon!

This video shows some new updates and two cool new features I always wanted to add... and now they are here!

One is a new Magna-Spinner toy that will let you trap a ball and choose where it will propel to... without using any flippers! The other is the iconic Sonic Spin Dash that lets you stop the ball anywhere on the playfield, charge up your spin, and DASH the ball in the direction you want!

Both these features completely change the gameplay, and also make the dreaded ManiaModes shot MUCH easier! Many other fixes, refinements and changes make this table much more accessible and fun to play and gives you a better chance at becoming Super Sonic!

The video has chapters, so you can jump right to the demo of each feature if you want.

Read the FAQ at the bottom of the Install Instructions.

In fact read and follow the Install Instructions completely, as you don't have the included CFG file installed or named correctly to match the table filename. This will give you a proper pov / camera view for the table.

i have a new installation of bam, and I am getting an error on this table only of yours
script error line 7959 pup_plug_tex
in the pup folder, i have option 5 selected for desktop
i have not touched anything in the script folder as your other tables are fine. 4g has been applied

Assuming you downloaded and installed the newest 1.5-357 BAM (which is required).... be sure you applied the 4 GB patch after updating BAM. Apply it to both FuturePinball.exe and FPLoader.exe to be sure they both get patched. (everyone with this same error so far... did not update BAM and patch correctly)

It's extremely important that the users know to not keep Run as Admin set for either one after trying that one time (yes its not uncommon to need that once for some people). In his case... he had it working before... so... ideally.... he shouldn't need to do that (but it doesnt hurt to try). Sometimes Windows Defender or other AV apps can block / restrict BAM when they see it modified (patched for 4 GB). It's why it's best to add exclusions for the entire FP folder (and all other pinball related apps as well).

i sincerely apologize for my very grave error of not updating to the latest bam. i did before Xmas and all was well so yes members must keep a eye out for these bam updates.
All is now good
i cant believe i made such a simple error

I don't recommend running anything as admin either.

I just said open and close ONCE. Happened to me a couple of times. I don't know why, I just know it solves the problem.

Totally agree. I even say to do the same in my guides and FAQ included with each table if anyone has problems. Baller Installer even runs FP as Admin "once" and closes it automatically as part of the install process for this very reason.

When I used the 2 in 1 Installer, I had to set the BAM desktop shortcut to Run as Administrator.
Just once, like you say, and then uncheck it, and all works.

- updated FizX physics code to change how ball ID's are handled to prevent conflicts
- updated FizX physics code for more efficient Rubber bounce handling
- updated Ball Rolling Sound code to change how ball ID's are tracked to prevent conflicts
- removed old PUPRollingUpdateTimer commands that are no longer used (would give an error if PinEvent Settings were forced to be disabled)

In the included Install Instructions, follow the Requirements section to install my BAM Settings files for cabinets. Also, the FAQ shows you how to remove the HUD DMD.

1.7 - FizX v3.0 physics update

- updated table for FizX v3.0 physics
- replaced spinner with a toy spinner and Wecoc's code (wont get stuck anymore, or stop balls)
- new integrated Static Desktop Camera Views (press plunger during attract mode to toggle)
- during attract, right flipper now toggles sonic / chrome ball
- small fixes
- Tail's plane now flies higher (and not partially through the cabinet side walls)
- new install instructions
- ball rolling sounds changed in table and in pup-pack
