Playboy xse (Bally, 1978) v1.3
IPD No. 1823
NOTE: This is a re-release of version 1.3 of Playboy xse. This table was released on Feb 2015, and does not require BAM. Still, this is one of the nicest playing tables even now.
This version instead used Slamtilts version 2.5 of the FP exe, but BAM users will find this table plays very well if you use the latest BAM version.
My original notes are below.
This is my absolute favorite table, I got hooked on pinball because of this game when I was a kid, and with new resources found, I'm finally able to do it justice. Thanks to Popotte as usual, this is a complete rebuilt from the Playboy table he did with Mike Mills.
This is one of the toughest games Bally ever put out, it regularly bitch slapped me and was very tough to win games on a regular basis. This version was made a bit easier, but if you have never played a "classic" game with it's style, you have been warned.
This uses 2.5 exe, but the 2.6 version should also work fine. Adjustments would be required, but most people will adjust the games to their liking. This includes a full readme file, and the script is very heavily commented for the new tilt system in case people wish to make adjustments or just play around with it.
You can access to the menu with the Special2Key to access the pin settings, for amount of balls per game etc.
You can toggle (by the toggle HUD key) the HUD reel.
If you use arrows for plunger (optional), you have to use arrow down and arrow up (customisable) in order to pull or push the plunger.
Hold both flipper buttons down to speed up the bonus count.
*** New Things ***
This game was entirely rebuilt from scratch, with all new hand drawn graphics and effects. My thanks to Mike Mills & Popotte for their version.
This game uses experimental techniques for the flippers to simulate a better overall range of the shots, and to help prevent some of the more annoying things with FP flippers. (though it still does happen)
A flexible tilt system that simulates a Plumb Bob type tilt system for Future Pinball, with custom code, as a alternative to the future pinball tilt system. This was designed to REPLACE FP's tilt code , and is adjustable within the script.
new shaped physics systems, for ball flow and control.
